A white wine grape that originated in southern France, Viognier is known for producing full-bodied, aromatic white wines that often have a slight oiliness to them, while still remaining fresh. The grapes love sunny regions that are tempered by cool weather, to maintain acidity. Common characteristics include aromas of peach, tangerine & honeysuckle. Much like a Chardonnay, oak ageing can draw out notes of vanilla & a rich, creamier palate.
