This red wine grape is native to France, but is perhaps best known now for the wines coming out of Argentina, where it’s well suited to the higher, drier climes. French Malbec is typically meaty, rustic & tannic, whereas Argentinian Malbec is uniformly more rich, jammy & fruity in nature.
