Sparkling wine refers to any wine that is carbonated, but is not a champagne. Sparkling wines can be created via natural in-bottle fermentation - known as the traditional method - or in large tanks. Though they are usually named after the region in which they’re made, other common names include Cremant, Spumante, Cava & Espumante.
