A beautifully aromatic, light-skinned grape - once stereotyped as being a sweet grape, the majority of Riesling wines are now known for being elegant & dry/off-dry. The grapes perform well on steep, slate rich hillsides, producing crisp & refreshing whites with pronounced acidity. Notable examples are produced in Germany, Alsace (which tend to be richer in style), Australia & New Zealand.
