This white wine grape is well known & grown throughout the world. It’s known for producing wines with high aromatic complexity - which is mainly due to various winemaking techniques such as the use of oak, which can add buttery, biscuity notes to the wine. Intrinsic flavours are fruity, with tropical, stone or orchard fruit being more dominant, depending on the climate. Chablis wine (made in Burgundy, France) is known for having more mineral notes - such as wet stone & chalk - as the style made there is largely unoaked.
