Also known as Garnacha in Spain. This dark-skinned grape is famously used in Côtes du Rhône & Châteauneuf-du-Pape blends. Versatile, vigorous & hardy, this vine does well in hot climates, often producing wines with high ABV. Grenache that is grown in stone or schist (like Châteauneuf-du-Pape) make for wines that have great ageing potential.
